We are seeking a dynamic full-time Café Manager to establish initial set-up and oversee the daily operations of the Village Café.
This role involves overseeing all aspects of café operations, building community connections and creating an inclusive, vibrant and welcoming space.
ESTIMATED START DATE: Late January 2025
What you’ll be doing
- Manage café setup, layout, menu creation, supplier sourcing and staff attraction and training
- Collaborate on marketing strategies and brand visibility
- Prepare café for growth and ensure a financially sustainable buiness
- Plan and execute soft and grand opening events, ensuring ongoing customer engagement
- Lead café operations, recruitment, rostering, ensuring quality service, staff education sessions and culture
- Drive community engagement through feedback and events
- Stock management and inventory control
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety
About you
- Be a hands-on problem solver and able to troubleshoot issues such as coffee machine maintenance or point of sale disruptions
- Strong organisational skills and an autonomous work ethic
- Ability to build, train, and lead a high-performing team
- Vibrant and energetic spirit
Hours of work
- Full-time
- Monday to Friday

- Cert III in Hospitality (or equivalent)
- Barista certified (desired)
- HLTFSE001 – Follow Basic Food Safety Practices
- HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
- Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS check (includes police check)
- Eligibility to work in Australia
- Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations (3 doses)
